Working Principle
Operating Principle
The modular wastewater treatment system operates based on a combination of automatic control, intelligent management, flocculation separation, and pressure dewatering. The working process consists of five key stages: automatic reagent preparation, wastewater control and intelligent dosing, flocculation and flow equalization, sludge and water thickening and separation, and pressure dewatering.
1. Stage of automatic reagent preparation
Automatic reagent dissolution:
- The automatic dosing component dissolves reagents according to a set program
- Solid or liquid flocculants are prepared in a solution of a certain concentration
- Stored in a reagent tank for use
Reagent readiness:
- Maintaining a stable concentration of the reagent solution
- Ensuring the dosing system is ready for immediate delivery
- Preparation for subsequent intelligent dosing
2. Stage of wastewater control and intelligent dosing
Wastewater lifting:
- Wastewater is pumped by a sludge pump from the collection tank to the equalization well
- Continuous and stable inflow of wastewater into the treatment system is ensured
- Pump flow is adjusted according to needs
Automatic control:
- The automatic control component measures wastewater concentration, turbidity, pH, and other key parameters in real time
- Control data is transmitted to the intelligent control terminal in real time

3. Stage of flocculation and flow equalization
Flow equalization in the well:
- Wastewater after dosing is retained in the equalization well
- The equalization well ensures a uniform and stable water flow, eliminating turbulence
- Favorable hydraulic conditions are created for entry into the thickener
Complete flocculation reaction:
- Reagent and wastewater continue to react in the equalization well
- Microflocs gradually grow and compact
- The efficiency of subsequent sludge and water separation increases
4. Stage of sludge thickening and separation
Entry into the thickener:
- After equalization in the well, wastewater flows by gravity or pump into the thickener tank
- The thickener provides sufficient space and time for sedimentation
- The scientific design of the tank promotes sludge and water separation
Mixing:
- The mixing device slowly stirs the wastewater
- Promotes further growth and compaction of flocs
- Mixing intensity is moderate: promotes flocculation but does not destroy flocs
Sludge and water separation:
- Under gravity, the flocculated sludge gradually settles
- High-density sludge settles at the bottom of the tank
- Clean water rises to the upper part of the tank
Sludge thickening:
- Settled sludge is further thickened at the bottom of the tank
- Sludge moisture decreases, volume reduces
- Thickened sludge is ready for subsequent dewatering
Clean water overflow for reuse:
- The upper layer of clean water automatically overflows through the overflow device
- Clean water flows by gravity into the clean water storage tank
- Clean water can be reused or discharged according to standards

5. Dewatering stage under pressure
Sludge transportation:
- Thickened sludge is pumped by the filter press feed pump from the bottom of the thickener
- Delivered to the dewatering device (chamber filter press, belt press, etc.)
- Continuous and stable sludge supply is ensured
Pressure dewatering:
- Sludge is subjected to pressure in the dewatering device
- Under high pressure, moisture is squeezed out of the sludge
- Filtrate (clean water) passes through the filter cloth and is drained, it can be returned for treatment or discharged
Drying and forming:
- After pressure dewatering, the moisture content of the sludge is significantly reduced (usually to 60-80%)
- Dewatered sludge takes the form of a cake that can be stored
- A dry pile is formed, convenient for subsequent transportation and disposal
Sludge disposal:
- Dried cake is unloaded from the dewatering device
- Can be packed in bags, loaded onto transport
- Sent to a landfill, composting plant, or incineration plant for final disposal
- Implementation of volume reduction, neutralization, and resource utilization of sludge
