Working Principle
I. Basic Principle of Operation
A single-shaft vibrating screen (circular vibrating screen) uses one eccentric shaft or inertial vibrator, whose rotation creates an exciting force that moves the screen box along a circular or elliptical trajectory. The material makes circular jumping movements on the screening surface, fine particles pass through the sieve holes becoming the undersize product, and coarse particles are discharged from the unloading end as the oversize product.
II. Main Mechanisms
1. Excitation System
- One eccentric shaft rotates at high speed, the eccentric block creates a periodic centrifugal force.
- Magnitude of the exciting force: F = m·e·ω²
- The screen box vibrates circularly or elliptically under the action of the exciting force.
- The vibration trajectory is inclined upwards, providing screening and conveying functions.
2. Material Movement
- Circular Movement The material makes circular or elliptical tossing movements together with the screening surface.
- Stratification and Screening Fine particles settle during vibration and pass through the sieve holes.
- Upward Conveying The circular trajectory moves the material toward the unloading end.
- Continuous Screening Simultaneous screening and conveying, high efficiency.
3. Movement Characteristics
- Amplitude: 5-10 mm, suitable for coarse and medium screening.
- Frequency: 800-1000 rpm.
- Inclination angle of the screening surface: 15°-25° (greater than that of a linear screen).
- High conveying capacity, suitable for dewatering operations.
