Working Principle
Four stages of dewatering:
1. Flocculation
- Sludge is mixed with flocculant (CPAM) in the mixer
- Small particles agglomerate into large flocs
- Free water is preliminarily separated
2. Gravity dewatering
- Sludge is distributed on the lower water-permeable belt
- Free water seeps through the mesh under the influence of gravity
- Moisture decreases from 95-99% to 85-90%
- A non-flowing layer is formed
3. Wedge pre-compression
- The upper and lower belts clamp the sludge
- The distance narrows wedge-shaped
- Water is squeezed out from the gaps
- Moisture decreases to 80-85%
4. Low pressure (0.2-0.5 MPa)
- S-shaped rollers (Ø400-600mm)
- Reciprocating compression
- Moisture decreases to 75-80%
5. High pressure (0.6-1.2 MPa)
- Large rollers (Ø800-1200mm)
- Powerful continuous compression with 4-8 rollers
- Capillary water is squeezed out
- Sediment with moisture content of 60-80% is formed
6. Unloading and washing
- Sediment is continuously unloaded
- Belts are washed with high-pressure water
- Circulatory use of belts
