Working Principle
1. Tangential pressurized feed
- Suspension under pressure 0.05-0.4 MPa
- Tangentially enters at a speed of 5-15 m/s
- Forms rotational movement, external flow
2. Centrifugal classification
- Particles experience centrifugal force, gravity, resistance
- Large dense particles are thrown to the wall
- Small particles move to the center
- Separation by size and density
3. Downward external flow
- Large particles descend along the conical wall
- Concentrate and collect
- Exit through the bottom opening (bottom flow)
- Concentration 50-75%
4. Upward internal flow
- Small particles and liquid converge to the center
- Form an upward internal flow
- Spirally rise
5. Exit through the overflow pipe
- Small particles rise with the internal flow
- Exit through the upper overflow pipe (overflow flow)
- Low solid content
Result Large particles at the bottom, small ones at the top — separation completed.
